Erica Buxton is returning to Razor as its new President. She will report to Founder and CEO Carlton Calvin.
Razor is best known for the original Razor kick scooter, a popular choice for kids on the move. Additional products from the company include other ride-ons such as hoverboards, skateboards, trikes, and more. Buxton will focus on the brand’s continued growth in her role as President.
Growth and expansion are important to continue our mission of getting as many families as possible moving and playing together, and for that we needed a uniquely qualified steward. Erica knows and understands Razor inside and out which means she can truly hit the ground running.
— Carlton Calvin, CEO and Founder of Razor
Prior to her latest appointment at Razor, Buxton served as the President and CEO of Hello Bello for three years. During that time, she oversaw the development of a diaper manufacturing plant, marking Hello Bello as the first independent diaper company to vertically integrate supply chain processes. Before Hello Bello, Buxton worked with Razor as COO and CFO. She also has experience serving as CEO for EQtainment, as well as in a variety of roles at Mattel.
“Returning to Razor at this time is truly exhilarating,” says Buxton. “As we gear up to commemorate our 25th anniversary, the company not only celebrates an unparalleled legacy in wheeled goods but also sets its sights on another phase of remarkable growth.”
Razor continues to expand its consumer offerings. The company recently released the Crazy Cart Shuffle, a drifting go-kart designed to grow with kids. Buxton’s return to Razor comes as the company prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary next year.
