Review and photos by Hubert, edited by DinoToyBlog
Having recently set the scene for Wing Crown’s Cartoon Series in our introductory review, let’s now take a brief look at another of the figures in the 7 inch dinosaurs set. Parasaurolophus is next on the list, now in some nice warm colors, reminiscent of a sunset sky.
The model is darkest at its back with a purple tone, with lighter oranges coming out from the belly. Inside of the mouth there is also a splash of red, and all the claws have grey paint applied, even if on the toes it doesn’t really cover much of the needed area. The figure has a similar scaly texture to the previously reviewed Brachiosaurus, with large scales covering most of the top and sides, and some extra ridged detail under the crest.
The depiction is recognizable since the Para’s calling card crest is prominent. The duck-like bill is quite comically pronounced on this figure, too. The hadrosaur is depicted as proudly standing upright with an outdated but practical tripod stance. It possesses clawed, grasping hands, with very little concern about what paleontologists might have to say about that.
The face, again, is pretty silly with the huge unfocused eyes. The duck bill has been taken to the extreme. I swear, without the crest its head would look like a concerningly scaly duck. Decide for yourself if you appreciate that level of literacy.
We’ll continue our review series on these curious Wing Crown figures soon…
