Dr. Seuss Enterprises, a beloved children’s entertainment company, announces two promotions for their licensing divisions. Jimeka Broussard is the new Director of Licensing for North America, and Jenna Marson is the Director of Licensing for international markets.
The directors plan to elevate the Dr. Seuss brand by creating a product licensing strategy that aligns with the company’s mission of delivering educational and entertaining products. With assistance from VP of Operations Ellie Terveen, the two will develop their approach by focusing on market presence and retail engagement.
Broussard will lead the domestic licensing and sales team for the North American market and oversee the strategies of the U.S. and Canada. The newly appointed director has shown exceptional leadership within the last three years by exceeding revenue targets yearly and expanding Dr. Seuss’s portfolio via apparel, toys, food, and more.
Before promotion, Marson held marketing, publishing, and licensing positions throughout her nine-year tenure. Under her management, the licensing base has significantly grown with new direct deals in Spain, Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Denmark. Marson also led the company’s entry into Latin America and will plan entry into the Asia-Pacific region in 2025.
“Stepping into this new role is an exciting opportunity to elevate our licensing efforts across North America. I’m passionate about harnessing the strong legacy of Dr. Seuss to introduce innovative products that resonate with our audience. My goal is to cultivate strategic partnerships that trend forward and explore diverse avenues that reflect the creativity and values inherent to our brand,” says Broussard.
“Leading our international licensing division is an exciting endeavor, and I’m eager to extend our brand presence into new and emerging markets. To be successful, you need to understand how a brand resonates with fans across diverse cultures, and we aim to create enriching experiences worldwide by building on our existing global relationships and tapping into unique regional opportunities. Fun is universal, and our characters definitely bring the fun!” says Marson.
“Jimeka Broussard and Jenna Marson have both been instrumental in driving Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ licensing strategy across the globe. They each bring dynamic industry expertise and demonstrate a clear commitment to preserving the integrity of the Dr. Seuss brand as we continue to grow. Their promotions exemplify the quality of their work to date as well as their vision for the future,” says Susan Brandt, President and CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises.
