YouTube is the new frontier for children’s media, and brands are beginning to take advantage of it.
Blockchain brand Metafy is teaming up with NYC’s Driver Studios to develop new 2D-animated content based on its adorable Wooshi properties. Originally a collection of NFTs, the tiny, playful Wooshis will star on their own YouTube channel produced by the studio, followed by a toy launch from Metafy in early 2025.
The new Wooshi World YouTube channel combines storytelling with analytics to produce content that immerses viewers in the Wooshis’ universe. By using data-driven insights to shape their content to what audiences want to see, every new viewer has the opportunity to craft the brand’s form and direction. With YouTube boasting a viewership of over 86% of U.S. kids between ages 2 and 12 and 90% of their parents watching alongside, the channel is the perfect way to bring engaging content directly to a wide range of consumers.
Founder and CEO of Driver Studios Scott Weitz commented on the partnership, saying, “YouTube is where kids discover and engage with content. It’s also the stage where today’s brands are built… All the ingredients to rapidly scale a brand and its audience are right here.”
Driver Studios is a leader in driving eyeballs to IP on YouTube, and we’re confident that they’re the ideal partner to help us introduce, drive and monetize our ‘Wooshi’ IP in 2025 and beyond. Together we’re bridging the gap that many legacy brands face in staying authentically connected to the grassroots culture of the next generation.”

Metafy will accompany the YouTube content with new toy launches. Although specifics have yet to be announced, the roll-out intends to continue its digital marketing strategy by partnering with influencers to promote the products. The brand plans to use the data from fans of the YouTube channel to drive further product launches throughout 2025.
